I Pray for the Hatred to End

It has taken me a little while to write this blog post. I wanted take proper time to put this into words because this is such an emotional topic.

I am deeply saddened by the needless loss of a life and much more so by the way Mr. Floyd's life was lost. The officers' behavior is inexcusable and I pray that they will all be charged a punished accordingly. I pray for Mr. Floyd's family as they mourn the loss of a man that they loved deeply. I pray for the communities that face this type of hatred daily. Nobody should have to live in fear of the people who are sworn to protect and serve them. It only takes one bad officer to make it difficult for the many good officers to do their jobs. I pray that every law enforcement agency across the nation will start implementing evaluations of every officer on their force to weed out officers filled with hate toward any person they are sworn to protect and serve. I pray that every officer across the nation will start to follow "if you see something say something".

I also pray for the business owners that have lost everything during the riots because they have become victims too. I pray for the officers that are truly trying to protect and serve their communities. I pray that the message of the protests is heard. It is a message that needs to be heard because change is desperately needed.

I pray for change.
